Description

The Sony GDM-G520 is a 21" class PC CRT Monitor from Sony FD Trinitron brand. Compared to the predecessor CPD-G500, model G520 premiered a new chassis, designation CR1, with significantly simplified internal circuitry around the same tube. Being a mainstream workhorse of the CR1 family suitable for OEM production, it can also be found disguised under many rebrands, such as HP P1130 or IBM P275. The original Sony branded model later received a cosmetic facelift in the form of CPD-G520P.

Notes

Due to the higher relative reliability, simplified internals, well-documented repair and calibration procedures, as well as abundance of spare parts, the G520 and its rebrands are considered to be a very good choice for the long-term usage even 20 years after the end of production.
